Viola Berlanda combines her passion for traveling, human stories and photography by working as a photo reporter for international magazines. Her photo reportages explore complex political and social contexts often seen through intimate life stories: Viola tries to develop close relationships with the protagonists of her photo reportages, allowing her to see the world through their eyes.
She has also started to work in theatres and with contemporary dance companies. For ten years she has been the official photographer for an important dance festival in Italy. This experience has allowed her to develop her fascination for the “behind the scene”, where she seeks out the secret, intimate, human part of the show. She has started to express herself through videos and sounds and to produce documentary radio stories that have been broadcast on national radios. She is often hired by important companies for corporate photography for special events.
She was born in Turin, Italy, but has made her headquarters in Paris.
